I have been experimenting with fabric paints and printing. A whole world of new possibilities of colour and line have opened up. Using one of my favourite Da Vinci photos on fabric is the focus point for this wall quilt, 20 inches x 34 inches in size. I added free machine embroidery and bordered it with a red and gold fabric that had been in my stash for years, waiting for a purpose. A Michael Miller deep blue fabric for the final border. I have not named the quilt yet, that can come later. It is a 'new day' for me and I am moving forward. I am off to visit my friend Nolly today for a peek at what she is creating which I know will be stimulating. Storms due later today in Brisbane, how I love to hear the thunder roll.
